Frederick Franklin Harshbarger, Jr.
Frederick F. Harshbarger, Jr. was born to Rosemary and Frederick Harshbarger in Alton, Illinois, on October 31, 1941. He graduated from Marquette High School in June 1959 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. After completion of Recruit Training at MCRD San Diego, CA and Infantry Training Camp Pendleton, he was assigned to MCAS El Toro as a Navy Stock Clerk. His Officer in Charge discussed with him a possibility of becoming a Marine Aviator and after a flight in an F9F Cougar jet, he was hooked on flying. He was accepted in to the Marine Aviation Cadet program in November 1960 and began Pre-Flight Training at NAS Pensacola, FL. After 18 months of flight training, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the USMC and was awarded his Naval Aviator Wings, 4 months before his 21st birthday.

Fredrick D. "Fritz" Justinger
Fredrick D. "Fritz" Justinger, 78, of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on April 17, 1936 to Nicholas and Lois (English) Justinger in Defiance, Ohio. Fredrick worked as a Machinist for SK Hand Tool for 44 years, retiring in 2000. On October 3, 1955 he married Betty (AuFrance) Justinger, who proceeded him in death on December 29, 1980.
Fredrick was a member of the Fox Club in Junction, F.O.E.#372, Moose #2094, and he was a social member of the VFW Post #3360 and AmVets #191. He liked to play cards and go to the casinos. He loved watching TV, especially Nascar. He also enjoyed having coffee with friends at the local clubs.
Fredrick is survived by his son, Thomas R. (Rose) Justinger of Lapu-Lapu, Phillipines, daughters; Becky J. (Al) Brown of Defiance, Brenda K. (Keith Miller) Justinger of Jackson, Florida, Mary A. (Flo
