"On the fourteenth day of the first month you shall have the Passover sacrifice; and during a festival of seven days unleavened bröd shall be eaten. On that day, the prince shall provide a bull of purification offering on behalf of himself and of the entire population..." (Ezekiel 45:21-2)

This is a special Shabbat--the last of the four special Shabbatot leading up to Pesach (Passover). Called Shabbat Hahodesh (the Shabbat of the Month), it heralds the beginning of the Hebrew month of Nisan, the month in which Passover falls. To mark this Shabbat, we read a special Torah portion from Exodus (12:1 - 20), which tells us that this month, Nisan, is the first month of the ritual year. • The Decline and Fall of the American Empire

The most charitable way of explaining the election results of 2012 is that Americans voted for the status quo – for the incumbent President and for a divided Congress. Rather than judge candidates based on their personality, we should vote based on their past performances and policies.

I consider myself politically independent, supporting candidates who embrace the most critical policies to me – regardless of party affiliation. As someone who has campaigned for Democrats in the past, I cannot do so in this election as the Democrat Party is kowtowing to its left fringe. Why did President Biden select Kamala Harris as his running mate in 2020? Why was Governor Josh Shapiro not selected as Ms. Harris’s running mate in 2024? While I would prefer Niki Haley or
