Skylar Astin originated the role of Georg in Tony and Grammy Award winning musical Spring Awakening. Astin was recently onstage in The Kennedy Center's production of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Howard Ashman and Alan Menken’s God Bless You Mr. Rosewater at Encores! Off-Center at New York City Center and starred as Tony in Carnegie Hall’s special production of West Side Story at the Knockdown Center. He returned to off-Broadway in WP Theater's What We're Up Against. In film, Astin is best known for his break out role as Jesse in Universal’s Pitch Perfect and sequel Pitch Perfect 2. He originated the role of Georg in the Broadway musical Spring Awakening, and has since appeared in films such as Hamlet 2 (), Taking Woodstock (), Cavemen (), and 21 & Over ().
