Expertly researched by renowned Russell Freedman, Marian's life can teach us all. She can teach us perseverance (she graduated from high school at 24), grace beneath pressure (her behavior during the DAR's ban of her performance at Construction Hall was commendable), and loyalty (she remained a friend of Eleanor Roosevelt's until the former First Lady's death, she helped her single mother and sisters when she began making money, continuing for the rest of her life to do so, and she married her high school sweetheart in her forties and they remained married for forty years until his death). What an incredible woman, American and artist. Highly recommended!
