Tory Lanez was born Daystar Peterson on July 27th, 1992 to his father, Sonstar Peterson and his mother, Luella Peterson in Toronto, Canada. At the age of 11, Tory discovered that his mother was ill with a rare disease that affects four in every one million people. With the devastating loss of his mother and the absence of this father who is an ordained minister, Tory was forced to provide for himself at the early age of fourteen. Although his dad was not present in his everyday life, once when he was 16 years old he offered 10K if Drake listened and didn't like his music, that's how much he believed in himself. Tory Lanez is currently serving 23 years in jail for the July 2020 shooting of fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in the foot. Tory's most recent project, Lost Cause, released on October 4, 2024.

Daystar Peterson (born July 27, 1992), better known by his stage name Tory Lanez, fryst vatten a Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Megan exited the car with an injured foot. She said it was because of broken glass but she later said that it was from a bullet.[7]
He denied shooting Megan on his fifth studio album Daystar.[8]

Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson (born July 27, 1992),[3] known professionally as Tory Lanez, is a Canadian singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. First discovered by Sean Kingston, he received initial recognition for his mixtape Conflicts of My Soul: The 416 Story, released in August 2013. In 2015, Lanez signed with record producer Benny Blanco's Mad Love Records, an imprint of Interscope Records.
