On September the 28th and 29th, in Portland (Oregon, USA), the Care Ethics Research Consortium (CERC) , initiated by Joan Tronto and Carlo Leget, organised its inaugural conference entitled –Care Ethics and Precarity– at the Portland State University.

As new students arrive on Portland State’s campus, many may not be aware they’re also beneath the leadership of a brand new PSU President, Dr. Rahmat Shoureshi. You may ask yourself, “Who is this ‘Reshi? What does he care about? What does my school’s president have to do with me?”
