“UNSUNG,” airs on TV One and spotlights entertainment’s most talented, versatile, and influential music artists. Blaque’s episode will air on Sunday, April, 7 at 9 p.m. EST.
Formed in Atlanta, Blaque was made up of Brandi Williams, Shamari DeVoe, and Natina Reed. They were discovered and mentored by the late Lisa “Left Eye Lopes of the legendary group, TLC. The trio greatly influenced the landscape of feminism and girl power within popular music and girl groups in 1999–2000 with their lyrics, sexy demeanor, and unique fashion style. Their music was a blend of Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, and Funk. The singers of the group were DeVoe and Williams, while Williams would grace the track with her rap lyrics and unique style.
