Verónica Judith Sáinz Castro (Spanish pronunciation:[beˈɾonikaˈkastɾo]; born 19 October 1952) is a Mexican actress, singer, producer, former model and presenter.[1]
She started her career as a television actress, where she met comedian Manuel Valdés, father of her son Cristian Castro, and in fotonovelas and telenovelas while earning her degree in international relations.[2]
Acting and music career

Verónica Castro – Memba her?

In good conscious I could not NOT feature Verónica Castro as my first and official “Chisme Corner” article. I know I’m not the only product of Latin parents that saw every single one of her Novelas growing up. In 1971 “El Amor Tiene Cara de Mujer,” 1979 “Los Ricos Tambien Lloran,” and in 1987 “Rosa Salvaje” just to name a few. I remember anxiously awating the latest episode of my fav “Los Ricos Tambien Lloran.” What? Didn’t every elementary aged Latin kid run home from school to watch it? Or at the very least listen to it as background noise while trying to do homework? And what about that glamorous head spin during the credits that, I’m certain, caused thousands of Latina girls run and take their Glamour Shots in the 80’s. Remember those?
